Russian passenger airliner that crashed in Egypt, killing all 224 people, broke apart at high altitude and scattered bodies of victims over desert.

According to Russia’s Rossiya-24 TV Airbus A321’s data and cockpit voice recorders were recovered. Russian Transport Ministry representative  said it was not immediately clear when those boxes would be studied.

Russian passenger airliner that crashed in Egypt, killing all 224 people

Sinai desert in recent years has been the site of brutal battles between Islamic militants and Egyptian Army. Nevertheless Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed a claim of Egyptian militant group that airliner was shot down by “Soldiers of Islam”.

Meanwhile team of Russian investigators are working with Egyptian Military officials trying to determine a reason for this catastrophe.

The plane was designed in France and built in Germany, and both countries said they will be involved to help determine the cause of the catastrophe.
