Mikhail Bezeliansky was one of wealthiest men in Russia with a flourishing businesses  and properties all over the world.

But after four divorces he is now applying for bankruptcy in London appellate court. His $ 5 billion retail annual income has dried up and he has about $50 million in debts. He was totally ruined by his former wives.

Wife № 3  Svetlana Bezelianskaia, 37, claims that her former husband had promised to give her a property in Moscow worth $21 million but sold it behind her back to someone else. She also accused Mr. Bezeliansky of not paying her $840,000 in maintenance payments over past two years.

In March she won a High Court order committing him to prison for non-payment of alimony but the jail term was suspended pending his appeal.

The couple married in 2000 and moved into multi-million $$$$ home in Hampstead Garden, north London. The marriage broke down in 2009. since then he has gone through two more weddings and a fourth divorce.

Mr Bezeliansky’s lawyer, David Holden, described his client’s current financial situation as close to bankruptcy. .

Mr. Bezeliansky, who now lives in Israel with wife No 5, built his fortune in Russia as owner of Mosmart, a shopping center chain. His appeal will be heard in London appellate court at a later date.
