Not A Good Year To Be Tycoon

Republican front runner Donald Trump is only #324 in the list of world tycoons. So far he’s had to spend only $18 million of his $4.5 billion fortune on his campaign (as of now his campaign has raised just $25 million – peanuts compare to Hillary Clinton’s $188 million).

 Bill Gates has been named the richest man in the world. It’s been the third year in a row, although the Microsoft founder’s fortune also dived from $79.2 billion to $75 billion.

Not A Good Year To Be WealthyMore than $70 billion has been wiped off the wealth of the world’s 20 richest people following a slump on global financial markets, according to the annual ranking.

The biggest loser was Carlos Slim, the Mexican telecoms tycoon, who his fortune drop from $77.1 billion to $50 billion in just one year.

The combined wealth of the top 20 has fallen from $899 billion last year to $827 billion.

The list continues to be dominated by men. Out of 1,810 billionaires, just 190 are women, a fall from 197 in 2015.

Overall, Forbes Magazine, which has ranked the world’s richest for the 30th year, found 1,810 billionaires globally, down from a record 1,826 a year ago. The publication estimated their combined net worth at $6.48 trillion, $570 billion less than last year.
