  • from 8 pm Friday to 5:30 am Monday
CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN. One tube HUGH L. CAREY (FORMERLY BROOKLYN BATTERY) TUNNEL is closed to facilitate tunnel repairs through 2018

 

BROOKLYN – QUEENS

GRAND STREET BRIDGE OVER NEWTOWN CREEK will be completely closed to vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic

  • Saturday from 7 am to 3 pm to
GRAND STREET BRIDGE OVER NEWTOWN CREEK will be completely closed to facilitate NYCDOT Bridges maintenance.

QUEENS – MANHATTAN

ED KOCH (QUEENSBORO) BRIDGE 58TH STREET ENTRANCE RAMP ONE OF TWO LANES ON THE 58TH STREET ENTRANCE RAMP TO THE SOUTH UPPER ROADWAY TO QUEENS will be closed

  • Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 2:30 pm
ED KOCH (QUEENSBORO) BRIDGE 58TH STREET ENTRANCE RAMP ONE OF TWO LANES ON THE 58TH STREET ENTRANCE RAMP TO THE SOUTH UPPER ROADWAY TO QUEENS will be closed to facilitate NYCDOT Bridge component rehabilitation work on the 58th Street entrance ramp deck.

ONE LANE IN EACH DIRECTION ON THE LOWER ROADWAY OF THE ED KOCH QUEENSBORO BRIDGE will be closed

  • Saturdays between 8 am and 2 pm
  • Sundays between 8 am and 2 pm
ONE LANE IN EACH DIRECTION ON THE LOWER ROADWAY OF THE ED KOCH QUEENSBORO BRIDGE will be closed for pothole repairs.

One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times

THE MANHATTAN-BOUND (NORTH) TUBE OF THE QUEENS MIDTOWN TUNNEL will be closed

  • from 9 pm Friday to 5:30 am Monday

THE QUEENS-BOUND (SOUTH) TUBE OF THE QUEENS MIDTOWN TUNNEL will be closed

  • from 9 pm Friday to 5:30 am Monday

TUBES OF THE QUEENS MIDTOWN TUNNEL will be closed for ongoing Superstorm Sandy restoration work

One lane in each direction will always remain open in the other tube when one tube is closed.

MANHATTAN

1ST AVENUE UNDERPASS (BETWEEN EAST 40TH STREET TO EAST 49TH STREET):  BOTH LANES IN THE EAST TUNNEL will be fully closed 

  • from 12:01 am to 6 am
1ST AVENUE UNDERPASS will be racially closed to facilitate NYCDOT Bridges repairs.
CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN

THE PARK AVENUE TUNNEL will be closed

  • from 9 pm Friday to 6 am Monday 
THE PARK AVENUE TUNNEL WILL BE CLOSED TO EXCAVATE AND PREPARE THE TUNNEL FOR INSTALLATION OF A NEW BELOW GRADE DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
Traffic will be routed to the adjacent north bound service road. 

THE WEST STREET UNDERPASS (TO THE BROOKLYN-BATTERY TUNNEL) will be partially closed

  • on Saturday from 1 am to 8 am
THE WEST STREET UNDERPASS will be closed to facilitate bridge rehabilitation work. Motorists should follow posted detours.

  • West 36th Street between Hudson Boulevard West and Hudson Boulevard East>>5 am to 10 pm Saturday and Sunday
  • East 59th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue>>12:01 am to 10 pm Saturday and Sunday from 6 am to 10 pm
  • East 60th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue>>Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 4 pm
  • East 60th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue>>6 am to 9 pm Saturday and Sunday
