STATEN ISLAND/NEW JERSEY CROSSINGS

OUTERBRIDGE CROSSINGS AS OF THE EVENING OF JULY 9TH THROUGH OCTOBER 2013 – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN STATEN ISLAND/NEW JERSEY

Where When Why
Outerbridge Crossings is closed in both directions Between 10 pm to 5 am Monday nights through Friday mornings to facilitate PANY/NJ roadway repairs and paving
Outerbridge Crossings is closed in both directions From 11:59 pm Friday to 7 am Saturday to facilitate PANY/NJ roadway repairs and paving

Drivers should plan alternate routes, or follow posted detours to the Goethals Bridge.

MANHATTAN- BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN BRIDGE – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound 12:01 am Sunday August 11 until 6 am Monday August 12 Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work
BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound 12:01 am Sunday August 11 until 6 am Monday August 12 Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work
Brooklyn-bound traffic will access the Brooklyn Bridge from Pearl Street or Centre Street, using a contraflow configuration 12:01 am Sunday August 11 until 6 am Monday August 12 Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work

Drivers proceeding inbound/northbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway and Gowanus Expressway should use 3rd Avenue/Hamilton Avenue into the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan.

Drivers proceeding inbound/westbound from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge, or the toll facilities at the Robert F Kennedy Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel, for best route into Manhattan.

Throughout this closure the Manhattan Bridge will accommodate 5 lanes of traffic inbound/westbound and two lanes outbound/eastbound.

 

BROOKLYN

UNION STREET BRIDGE OVER GOWANUS CANAL – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN BROOKLYN

Union Street Bridge over Gowanus Canal Saturday August 31st and September 7 from 7 am to 2 pm to facilitate NYCDOT bridges deck repairs.

 

MANHATTAN

MANHATTAN. FOLLOWING STREETS CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN:

West 25th Street between 6th Avenue and Broadway 1 am Saturday to 6 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.
West 39th Street between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 51st Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue 8 am to 6 pm Saturday to facilitate crane operation.
Broadway between West 24th Street and West 25th Street 1 am Saturday to 6 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.
Wooster Street between Broome Street and Spring Street Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Mulberry Street between Canal Street and Broome Street; Hester Street between Mott Street and Baxter Street These streets will be closed 5:30 pm to 9 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday Mulberry Street Pedestrian Mall through September 9, 2013.
