Starting from December 8, 2012, construction work will begin on the Alexander Hamilton Bridge (I-95 Cross Bronx Expressway) and that will impact traffic on the Westbound (New Jersey-bound) lanes of the bridge and surrounding roadways for approximately for the next 6 months. A new traffic pattern is in place on the Cross Bronx Expressway southbound approaching the Major Deegan Expressway. As a result, two lanes to the left of the workzone and one lane to the right of the workzone will be open to traffic. Drivers will have access to both levels of the George Washington Bridge.
