STATEN ISLAND/NEW JERSEY CROSSINGS

 

OUTERBRIDGE CROSSINGS AS OF THE EVENING OF JULY 9TH THROUGH OCTOBER 2013 – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN STATEN ISLAND/NEW JERSEY

Where When Why
Outerbridge Crossings is closed in both directions Between 10 pm to 5 am Monday nights through Friday mornings to facilitate PANY/NJ roadway repairs and paving
Outerbridge Crossings is closed in both directions From 11:59 pm Friday to 7 am Saturday to facilitate PANY/NJ roadway repairs and paving

Drivers should plan alternate routes, or follow posted detours to the Goethals Bridge.

 

MANHATTAN- BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN BRIDGE – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN

Where When Why
BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound Monday night through Friday morning between 11 pm and 6 am Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work
BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound 12:01 am to 7 am Saturday Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work

Drivers proceeding inbound/northbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway and Gowanus Expressway should use 3rd Avenue/Hamilton Avenue into the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan.

Drivers proceeding inbound/westbound from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge, or the toll facilities at the Robert F Kennedy Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel, for best route into Manhattan.

Throughout this closure the Manhattan Bridge will accommodate 5 lanes of traffic inbound/westbound and two lanes outbound/eastbound.

West 13th Street between Washington Street and 9th Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 24th Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue This street will be closed 1 am Saturday to 6 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.
East 26th Street between Lexington Avenue and 3rd Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate cane operation.
East 29th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 32nd Street between Park Avenue South and Lexington Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 32nd Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 45th Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 47th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 52nd Street between 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 54th Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 54th Street between 8th Avenue and Broadway This street will be closed Sunday from 12:01 am to 9 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 64th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue This street will be closed Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 68th Street between York Avenue and First Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 69th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
79th Street Transverse Road between 5th Avenue and Central Park West This road will be closed Sunday from 12:01 am to 6 am to facilitate bridge inspection work.
Broadway between West 24th Street and West 25th Street This street will be closed 1 am Saturday through 6 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.
Charles Street between West Street and Washington Street This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
