MANHATTAN- BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN BRIDGE – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN

Where When Why
BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound Monday night through Friday morning between 11 pm and 6 am Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work
BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound 12:01 am to 7 am Saturday Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work

Drivers proceeding inbound/northbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway and Gowanus Expressway should use 3rd Avenue/Hamilton Avenue into the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan.

Drivers proceeding inbound/westbound from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge, or the toll facilities at the Robert F Kennedy Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel, for best route into Manhattan.

Throughout this closure the Manhattan Bridge will accommodate 5 lanes of traffic inbound/westbound and two lanes outbound/eastbound.

Where When Why
West 24th Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue This street will be closed 1 am Saturday through 6 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.
East 27th Street between Park Avenue South and Lexington Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 31st Street between Dyer Avenue and 9th Avenue This street will be closed 6 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.
West 33rd Street between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 7 am to 4 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 46th Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 7 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
East 51st Street between Lexington Avenue and 3rd Avenue This street will be closed from 8 am to 6 pm Saturday and/or Sunday to facilitate crane operation.
West 51st Street between 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue This street will be closed 12:01 am Saturday through 11:59 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.
West 53rd Street between 6th Avenue and 5thAvenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 76th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm to facilitate crane operation.
West 89th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Columbus Avenue This street will be closed Friday 9 am to 3 pm, Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm to facilitate crane operation.
Elizabeth Street between East Houston Street and Bleecker Street This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
Bleecker Street between Elizabeth Street and Bowery. Additionally the intersection of Bleecker Street and Elizabeth Street will be closed. This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation
Bleecker Street between Mott Street and Elizabeth Street This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.
Bleecker Street between Mott Street and Elizabeth Street Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation
Broadway between West 24th Street and West 25th Street 1 am Saturday through 6 am Monday to facilitate crane operation
