STATEN ISLAND

STATEN EXPRESSWAY WESTBOUND BETWEEN FINGERBOARD ROAD AND CLOVE ROAD; WESTBOUND ENTRANCE RAMP FROM LILY POND AVENUE/SCHOOL ROAD – CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA STATEN ISLAND

This entrance ramp and two lanes of traffic on the Westbound Staten Island Expressway will be closed

from 10 pm Friday to 3 pm Saturday, and again from 10 pm Saturday until 1 pm Sunday

To facilitate NYSDOT roadway resurfacing.

Two lanes of traffic are maintained (HOV lane will be open to all traffic)

from 10 pm Friday to 3 pm Saturday, and again from 10 pm Saturday until 1 pm Sunday

To facilitate NYSDOT roadway resurfacing.

 

MANHATTAN-BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN BRIDGE – INBOUND. MANHATTAN/BROOKLYN CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound

Monday night through Friday morning between 11 pm and 6 am

Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work

BROOKLYN BRIDGE full closure for traffic proceeding Manhattan bound/westbound

12:01 am to 7 am Saturday

Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work

Drivers proceeding inbound/northbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway and Gowanus Expressway should use 3rd Avenue/Hamilton Avenue into the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan.

Drivers proceeding inbound/westbound from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge, or the toll facilities at the Robert F Kennedy Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel, for best route into Manhattan.

Throughout this closure the Manhattan Bridge will accommodate 5 lanes of traffic inbound/westbound and two lanes outbound/eastbound.

 

THE SOUTHBOUND FDR DRIVE EXIT ONTO THE CIVIC CENTER/PEARL STREET CLOSURES MEANS LIKELY CONGESTION AND INTERRUPTION THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IN MANHATTAN

ACCESS ONTO THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE IS NOT EFFECTED.

The southbound FDR Drive exit onto the Civic Center/Pearl Street

 7 am Saturday to 6 am Monday.

Due to facilitation rehabilitation and repainting work

Motorists destined for local streets should use the prior South Street Exit 3 and follow posted detour to Pearl Street.

 

MANHATTAN

WEST STREET/9A VICINITY OF VESEY STREET PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

Two southbound, and one northbound lane will be maintained

10 am to 10 pm Saturday and Sunday, November 16/17, 2013.

To facilitate NYSDOT overhead bridge removal operation

One lane in each direction will be open to traffic 10 pm

Friday November 15 to 10 am Saturday

To facilitate NYSDOT overhead bridge removal operation

One lane in each direction will be open to traffic 10 pm

10 pm Saturday to 10 am Sunday

To facilitate NYSDOT overhead bridge removal operation

One lane in each direction will be open to traffic 10 pm

10 pm Sunday to 5 am Monday

To facilitate NYSDOT overhead bridge removal operation.

During this weekend project motorists exiting the Hugh L. Carey (Battery) Tunnel into Manhattan and destined for northbound West Street will be detoured to Trinity Place to Church Street.
