Friday November 18, 2016 to Sunday January 22, 2017

President-Elect Donald Trump’s movements – “VIP movement” – around New York City could greatly disrupt city traffic. Take it to social media in frustration.

Public Entrance. Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue

Whenever the President-elect travels, roads are blocked, traffic can back up for miles but as a rule delays can last from 2 to 10 minutes.

Try to avoid aria around Mr. Trump residence on Trump Tower (Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan)

There are several streets around Mr. Trump residence which are permanently closed

  • 56th Street between Madison Ave and 6th Ave

Keep in mind that even though 5th Ave is only partially closed

  • between 57th to 52nd Street

It disrupts traffic in the aria:

  • on 5th Ave prior 57th Street
  • Madison Ave prior 57th Street
  • 6th Ave between 42nd Street and Central Park South (59th Street)

The White House has multiple layers of defense, making a veritable fortress. Trump Tower has much less layers. At least we don’t see snipers perching atop the buildings.

You must not frustrate. Be prepared! Be patient. It’s going to last only until 21 January 2017.
