Taiwanese woman might face huge bill for giving birth on China Airlines plane.

According to China Times newspaper, a woman before giving birth, asked plane crew workers, “Are we in Unites States air space?” Apparently a woman wanted to give birth to her child in USA so a child would be American citizen.

Meanwhile state officials of Alaska said that a child is eligible for U.S. citizenship.

This incident has garnered a huge attention in Taiwan, even on the level of parliamentary debates.

-This is a selfish act,” shouted angry member of Taiwanese Parliament to minister of transportation.

– It was clearly premediated act to obtain U.S. citizenship on false grounds. Her shameless actions affected traveling plans of other passengers. Is there no punishment?

The woman, whose identity is unknown, was sent back to Taiwan from Alaska without her baby. USA Immigration Authorities did not say why.
