Swim, Bike, Run the NYC Triathlon 2015 In Support of Achilles Paratriathlon Team!

Achilles International enables people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics in order to promote personal achievement, enhance self-esteem, and lower barriers to living a fulfilling life.

New York, New York Hudson River – Manhattans Upper West Side, The Bronx

2015 The New York City Triathlon is an Olympic Distance race consisting of a 1500m swim, a 40k bike, and a 10k run.

Each year over 3,000 athletes brave the waters of the mighty Hudson River before biking along Manhattan’s West Side highway. Finally, athletes put on their running shoes for a run through New York’s famed Central Park.

THE NYC TRIATHLON  will produce following street closures in Manhattan. THE NYC TRIATHLON  means likely congestion and interruption the normal flow of traffic in the area in Manhattan.

Manhattan

  • Henry Hudson Parkway (Northbound) between West 57th Street and the Henry Hudson Bridge
  • West 72nd Street between Riverside Drive and Central Park West
  • West 79th Street between Riverside Drive and Traffic Circle (near West Side Highway)

Bronx

  • Henry Hudson Parkway (Northbound) between the Henry Hudson Bridge and the Mosholu Parkway
  • Mosholu Parkway (Eastbound) between Henry Hudson Parkway and West Gun Hill Road

  START Sunday from 5 am to 2 pm
