Alternate Side Rules Suspended Wednesday  November 11, 2015

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended Wednesday, November 11 for Veterans Day. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect

Some metered parking zones have alternate side parking rules. When alternate side parking is suspended for a holiday or other reason, the parking meters remain in effect.

There are numerous additional activities on and around Veterans Day

  • 28th Street and 29th Street between Broadway and Madison Avenue Formation
  • 5th Avenue between 23rd Street and 53rd Street Route
  • 52nd Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue Dispersal
  • 53rd Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue Festival
  • 24th Street and 25th Street between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue
  • 41st Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue Miscellaneous

THE MIDDLE VILLAGE VETERAN’S DAY PARADE will produce following street closures in Queens. CLOSURES FOR THE MIDDLE VILLAGE VETERAN’S DAY PARADE means likely congestion and interruption the normal flow of traffic in the area in Queens.

  • Metropolitan Avenue between 79th Street and 78th Street Formation
  • Metropolitan Avenue between 79th Street and 69th Street Route

  • Lafayette Avenue between East Tremont Avenue and Swinton Avenue Formation
  • East Tremont Avenue between Lafayette Avenue and Randall Avenue (Southbound) Route
  • Randall Avenue between East Tremont Avenue and Ellsworth Avenue Route
  • Ellsworth Avenue between Randall Avenue and Veteran Memorial Park Route
